What is your favorite movie and why does this question matter?
This question matters because I think you can learn a lot about a person by the movies they love. My favorite movie is The Princess Bride. I watch it with whomever is around at least once a year and have many lines memorized. I learn something new about myself every time I watch it.
What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?
The lowest depth of misery was when I had my freedom taken from me and lived without it for many years. Now that I know what freedom is I would never want to live without it again.
What is your worst irrational fear?
I fear the Wizard of Oz. The movie, the book, any mention of it at all scares me. When I was a child, I had nightmares every time I saw the movie, which was featured on network television at least once a year. I refused to watch the movie ever again after having a second set of nightmares the second time I saw the movie that shall remain unnamed.
What or who is the greatest love of your life?
I have not met the greatest love of my life yet. I don’t think I will know who my greatest love is until I get to the end of my life. I like living with that suspense and unanswered question.
What the greatest love is could be the ocean, sushi, reading an amazing book, or any number of things depending on my mood.
Which living person do you despise most?
I don’t think I can answer that question. It would leave a record that could be used against me. Also, I don’t think it’s relevant. If would give the alleged despised person some imaginary power over me if I confirmed who it is. Maybe I don’t truly despise anyone because it is a waste of my time and energy, and I would rather use that time and energy for something that moves my life forward.
Where would you most like to live?
My goal in life is to live as close to the ocean as possible. I grew up in southern California and moved away when I was a young adult. I’ve been trying to return to the ocean ever since. Ideally, I would live in an old cottage or bungalow right on the beach so I could hear the ocean and walk the beach every morning and evening.
